I’ve tried detergent, stain remover and vanish but dark brown stain still there. Professional carpet cleaners want to do whole carpet (£250) but it’s still quite new
Hopefully the following recipe works for you-
How to Remove Pet Stains From:
Carpet (synthetic or wool)
After removing solids, apply either Spot Shot Carpet Stain Remover, Stain-X Carpet Stain Remover, or Up & Out (do not use Up & Out on wool). Be sure to follow the label directions for special instructions and any precautions.
An alternate method is to scrape to remove the solids, being careful not to push stain into pile.
Sponge the area with a solution of 1 teaspoon mild non-alkali detergent and 1 pint lukewarm water.
Blot the stain with an absorbent pad.
Continue the sponging and blotting until no more stain is removed. If any stain persists, sponge the area with a solution of 1 tablespoon ammonia to 1 cup warm water. (Do not use ammonia on wool carpet.)
Blot excess liquid, and continue treatment until no more stain is removed. Place an absorbent pad over the damp area and weight it down. When no more liquid is absorbed, remove the pad and allow area to thoroughly air dry.
Don’t use bleach, it will take the color out of the carpet and ruin it. Use some mild detergent and scrub hard, then water and pat it dry. Some animal pet odor powders or cleaners won’t hurt the carpet also. The biggest thing is to do it soon as possible, before it sets in to much longer.

Go to the automotive section of a store and look for "Tough Stuff"… it is awesome. It should work. I haven’t found anything it does not clean.

Have you tried hydrogen peroxide? It should break up the proteins in the residual poop, and should bubble the stain right out. Or, you could find a cute rug or rearrange your furniture

Before you use any chemicals on the stain do a small patch test on an area that’s not normally seen

I’ve had great luck with a product called Spot Shot. I have two puppies and know all about urine/feces stains. Try it in an inconspicous spot for color fastness, of course.

This type of stain is one of the hardest to get out the carpet. I would recommend using a wet vac and slowly pour hot water (from a kettle) on he spot and vacuum it up at the same time, (this will open up the dye ports on the carpet fibre releasing the stain. and remove the residue from the carpet). If the stain is still visible than try putting dishwashing soap (2 or 3 drops into one cup of water or carpet spotter. Dampen the spot letting it soak on the stain for about 5 minutes and repeat step one. After this you should rinse the area again with the wet vac and water.

Have you tried fabric conditioner. Pour a small amount onto a clean wet cloth, sqeeze out the excess then gently rub into the stain, it may help. I use it on my wool carpet before I try any other products & it usually works. Leaves the carpet smelling nice too.
