What is the best carpet/upholstery deep cleaning machine you can buy?
I have thought about renting a Rug Doctor, but for the amount I use it with Pets and Kids at home, I would rather invest in a deep cleaner that will hold up over time and really do a great job. I have professionals come out about twice a year, but i still need something powerful to help me between their visits.

Need to know cleaning options for church pew upholstery. Anyone?
Seats in our church need cleaning, and it is an upholstery that needs deep cleaning.
I did all the pews in my church last summer. Generally, you want to use a water based cleaner and extract. You can rent machines, but I’ll bet mine is more powerful. Use a good general purpose upholstery cleaner unless there are specific stains such as wine/grape juice or candle wax.
A good carpet cleaning supply house should be able to help you out with the cleaners and may even have a commercial portable machine to rent to you.
