Stain removal from carpet?
Fountain pen ink from a new carpet. Ink is blue and carpet is blue. I put some room and carpet deodoriser on it immediately and applied pressure and then when most of the stain came out, I used a nailbrush to work on it, but now I have a 2in (5cm) smear where I rubbed too hard. Can anyone help please? Thanks for your help in advance.
What you need is a graffiti remover…these are actually made to remove ink.
The only graffiti remover I can vouch for is Krud Kutter Graffiti Remover, since it is the only one I have ever used personally.
What did not work for me: Hair Spray, Rubbing Alcohol, Nail Polish Remover, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Hand Sanitizer, and even WD-40. But the Krud Kutter did work.
Spray Krud Kutter onto a clean rag and just wipe at the ink mark until it’s gone. It’s that simple.
Krud Kutter is specifically made to remove ink, so it actually works. It’s a little pricey, but you’ll be surprised how often you use it.
You can buy Krud Kutter Graffiti Remover at Target, Home Depot, and most hardware stores.

How do you clean a carpet that was stained by the dye of the legs of a new furniture?
We tried SpotShot, bleach and various off-the-shelf carpet cleaners (Pet Stain removal, etc.) with no success. The light-yellow stains left by the furniture wood legs on the light cream-colored carpet have not faded a bit after all those products.
It may not go away. Sorry ! Yu may need to cover it up with a area rug.

My light colored carpet has a large set in stain from spilled Dawn Detergent. Any suggestions for removal?
Find a carpet cleaner with oxy in it. I use the bissel little green machine and it comes with some oxy-gen cleaner. This removed blue frosting from my beige carpet without a problem. So, I am sure that the cleaner even without the machine will help. I do suggest borrowing a machine though. It will help extract all the detergent that can leave your carpet feeling really corse.

I have a rust stain in my white carpet from a couch leg with rusty screw.?
I used a carbona stain devil specifically designed for rust removal. My carpet seemed to melt. It has now just a light yellowish stain now that looks similar to urine. I almost wanted the rust stain back….because urine looking stain is worse. Its in a spot that is seen and not covered by a throw rug….should I just give up?
try this in a foaming bottle mix 1 tsp white vinegar, 1/2 tsp. liquid dish soap, 1/2 tsp, ammonia, and fill up with water.pump and use the foam only, this might lighten the yellow stain to the point that it’s not noticable anymore.
