Any good tips on pet stain and odor removal in your carpets?

URINE stain ….The only thing that worked for me was Borax found in the laundry section of stores…pore a heaping amount on the stain if it’s still wet if not – wet the stain with water then pore on the Borax let it set there till it’s dry. It pulls out the wet, stain, and odor!!!

Hairball stain removal?

My cat has an active digestive system…yea. Any tips on how to remove that dark stain that gets in the carpet even after you’ve picked up the big stuff when your cat has a hairball?

A spray carpet cleaner like Woolite’s heavy traffic foam. Or as crazy as it sounds–Fume Free oven cleaner. It’s how I got the blood out of the carpet after the cat had her kittens on my beige carpet…

natural as in not harmful to people, pets or planet.

Perhaps plant derived.I have tried a vegetable surfactant but its not the best.

Thanks

I have successfully used white vinegar on every stain on our carpet. Sometimes I dilute it more than others, depending on the stain. Usually it is diluted 1 part vinegar, 3 parts water. Sometimes, equal parts, and for tough stains, I use undiluted vinegar.

Borax is another great natural stain remover. Mix 1/2 cup borax with 2 quarts water.

Any tips on dog urine stain removal?

The stains are relatively large, made by a male Rottweiler, and are a few months set-in. We were good about cleaning up the urine right away, but have procrastinated with the stains. I have decided to rent a professional carpet cleaner and just need to know what type of soap/agent to use. The carpet is a light beige in color. Thanks for your help!

The only thing that I’ve found that get rids or urine stains in Resolve oxy clean stain remover. It has the blue and white liquids in a clear bottle. Leave it on for 5 minutes then scrub. It won’t go away instantly though. Just let it sit overnight and it’ll be gone in the morning.

Does anyone know how to get a blood stains out of a beige carpet ?

The carpet has blood stains but other stains also. We tried vanish carpet shampoo and stain removal and no luck. Also has been stained on there for about 2 months. This is a rented property so will do anything to get the stains out!!
And for goodness sake it is perfectly innocent my partner cut his hand picking up a broken vase and didn’t realise intill i noticed blood splatters all over the carpet…. I wish some of you people would grow up

I would be very hesitant about hydrogen peroxide on anything that’s n0t white as hydrogen peroxide is a bleaching agent. Unless the blood is in a very inconspicuous area, you may wind up with a much lighter beige area!

I would first try COLD soapy water, using hand washing dish soap to lift out the dried blood.
Since blood is a protein/enzyme stain, I’d next try an enzyme soak detergent, dissolved in COLD water. Any heat will set a protein/enzyme stain.
If the blood has penetrated deeply into the carpet fibers, backing, and padding, it may take quite a bit of cold water to loosen the dried blood.
